Dreamy Dresses

Just this week famed couture house, Giambattista Valli is introducing it's first ever Bridal Collection, the "Love" Collection. And the dresses are simply beyond dreamy. This feels like a natural progression for the brand known for it's overt feminine styling and intricate details. The gown shown above is truly my favorite in the collection, which you can see the remainder of here. Time to say "I Do' darlings.

Forever My Favorite

I truly adore everything London-based designer, Emilia Wicksead designs. But, I don't think I have ever loved anything as much the wedding gown she designed for herself. I will never forget when I saw images of her wedding day 10 years ago, when I was in the midst of planning my own wedding. Years later, I would love to wear her gown if I could get married all over again. Inspired by Audrey Hepburn in the movie, Sabrina, the dress is utterly timeless and absolutely irresistible. I could not help but share it yet again!

Flower Girl Finds

I am truly so sad and sorry for all the couples who have had to cancel or postpone their weddings given the global pandemic... but, I know in the future we will be able to celebrate love again. I came across this photo of one of my favorite flower girl looks and it reminded me how often I am asked for suggestions on flower girl dresses. I absolutely adore white paired with hints of blue and thus I have compiled some truly darling dresses that have just that  ...

this dress is an affordable alternative for the look above

this one is perfectly classic with hand smocking & a ruffle collar

the swiss dot fabric and sleeves on this dress make it timeless

... and this dress is quite the splurge but might be the icing on the cake. practically perfect

Dreamy Newport Nuptials

With all the uncertainty in the world right now, I have wanted to delve into beautiful distractions to keep me calm. I could not help but seriously swoon over this dreamy wedding the moment I spotted it on Vogue.Com.https://www.vogue.com/slideshow/eaddy-kiernan-vogue-events-director-newport-wedding It is truly no surprise that the day was absolutely perfect given that the bride is Vogue Contributing Editor, Eaddy Kiernan, who has planned many a MET Gala in her day. The wedding was held in Newport Rhode Island at her family home, famed Hammersmith Farm (which also happens to be the same place that Jackie Kennedy was married). From the exquisite Oscar de La Renta dress, to the lush grounds, and perfectly understated yet elegant decor ... the day was beyond dreamy.

Currently Crushing on this Bride

From the moment I saw photographs of Moda Operandi's deputy editor, Tatiana Hambro's wedding in England I absolutely could not get enough of her look. Truly one of the most stunning brides I have ever seen. Her custom Barbara Tfank gown was the epitome of chic and her family's Victorian crown was {without a doubt} the icing on the cake.  And just when I thought I couldn't love her look more... I saw her after party dress. The Markarian party piece was an absolute delight with and irresistible scoop neckline, perfect puff sleeves, and hand placed organza flowers. Truly a princess bride. Sweet Romance

I had the absolute pleasure of working for a period of time with the uber-talented women's designer {and my darling friend}, Katie Ermilio. She and I actually met over nine years ago when I reached out to her to design my rehearsal dinner dress for my wedding. Thus, it was such a treat to work at her brand while she was planning her own wedding in 2017.

It is truly no surprise that given Katie's gorgeous aesthetic and impeccable eye that the day itself was absolutely dreamy.  She and her love, Tylee Abbott got married in Pennsylvania {where they are both from} on Tylee's family's horse farm. From the stunning backdrop to the custom table linens every aspect of the day was absolutely special and utterly gorgeous. But, my favorite part was Katie's dress, which of course, she designed herself. Truly timeless.

Seriously Chic Charlotte

The latest Royal Wedding was that of Charlotte Casiraghi to Dimitri Rassam in Monaco. The bride looked seriously chic at her civil ceremony in a guipure lace Saint Laurent dress designed by Anthony Vaccarello. The bows are just the icing on the cake.... I guess you would truly expect nothing less from Grace Kelly's grand daughter.

English Elegance

From the first moment I saw jewelry designer, Theodora Ware's wedding I could not get over her stunning Emilia Wickstead gown, which was both truly timeless and seriously chic. It was absolutely love at first sight. The entire day was just as breathtaking as the gown, which took place at the bride's childhood home, an 18th century estate in Sussex, England. From the floral arrangements to the flower girls, every detail was truly dreamy. See more of this magical day on Vogue.Com.

Romancera

I recently discovered the dreamiest wedding dress label made in Spain, Romancera. When I came across these stunning photographs I was instantly blown away by the breathtaking pieces. As a bride to be this brand offers a rare opportunity to have a beautiful and unique dress that you will not find elsewhere. Simply stunning.

Midsummer Night's Dream

Chloe Richard's wedding to Lee Rubenstein was simply that ... a midsummer night's dream.  The Creative Director of M2M (Made to Measure) created an absolutely magical evening at her family's Southampton home. Every detail from the De Gournay invitations to her custom Giambiattista Valli gown was absolutely impeccable. After getting a glimpse of this wedding on Vogue.Com I have been dreaming about this day.{See the complete feature here}

California Dream

When I came across Moda Operandi Communications Director, Hayley Bloomindale's Santa Barbara wedding I could not help but swoon. Maybe it is because I grew up in Southern California, but this is truly one of the dreamiest weddings I have seen in a long time. It is absolutely the epitome of understated elegance. Hayley looked breathtaking in her Carolina Herrera gown designed by Wes Gordon, but for me it was her second dress (also designed by Wes) that took the cake! It was absolute perfection ... from the tiered silhouette and pearl edging to the incredible blue grosgrain bows, which perfectly matched her flower girls (my other favorite aspect of the day!). Could the wedding party have been any more darling? I absolutely adore those custom outfits by Spanish children's brand, La Oca Loca with the perfect touch of blue to match the dreamy flowers. A true California Dream.
See a complete look at the day on Vogue.Com.
